Tyrannosaurs are very dangerous dinosaurs that can be found in many films and video games. For example, it features in video games such as Dino Crisis, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Jurassic Park (a game inspired by the film Jurassic Park).
Several comic strips also use dinosaurs in their characters. These include “Les Dinosaures en BD”, “Devil Dinosaur et Gon” (a manga about the adventures of a baby T-Rex), etc.
Tyrannosaurus Rex or T-Rex also features prominently in a number of animated films, including Jurassic Park, the Toy Story series, Ice Age 3 and The Dino Train, where he is the hero.
The Dino Train tells the story of Sammy, a tyrannosaurus whose adopted family are pteranodons. They travel through the world of dinosaurs on the Dino Train to discover other species of dinosaur.
The Dino Train travels not only around the world, but also through time via the “time tunnel”. Sammy’s family can then visit the dinosaurs that lived in other eras. Also on board the train is the Controller, another dinosaur with a wealth of knowledge about dinosaurs and all the animals of prehistory.
This series encourages children to behave like real scientists. Sammy and his adopted siblings act like scientists, curious and eager to learn. They pose hypotheses and establish scientific reasoning. The Dino Train shows its spectators dinosaurs from a scientific point of view. Many scientific discoveries are recounted, such as the hypothesis that birds were dinosaurs.
